Waldorf-inspired Birthday Parties
This video is a combination of theory, ideas and group brainstorming. I started off with an outline of what makes a great Waldorf birthday party. We talk about creating a balanced party through natural ingredients, traditions, transitions, the elements and heart & hand balancing. I give specific examples of each idea and we also talk about the outline through examples of two parties I gave for my children. Towards the end of the video the entire group trades ideas and questions about parties during holidays, parties for twins, and other parties. How to Make Colored Molding Beeswax
Learn how to make your own molding beeswax in different colors. This is a little bit easier to use than the traditional molding beeswax and enables you to make the same amazing nature table figures and craft items in natural colors. This molding beeswax still presents the proper challenge for older children but is also just soft enough for younger children to use too. With the traditional beeswax most children under the age of 6 or 7 are not able to manage.

This 9 minute video shows you the basics of how to make a Waldorf Block Crayon with beeswax and ingredients from nature. Alternate ingredients are suggested for your convenience and a list of natural artist pigments (that you most likely have in your kitchen or nearby) is included. Using this video you can make all the basic colors of Waldorf block crayons and endless colors beyond that.
A typical set of block crayons costs fourteen to thirty dollars. My homemade set of 18 crayons cost me around five dollars. Note that this video comes free with the August lesson plans along with one additional video, audio and more.
